Sepia warmth — the colour of old engravings and walnut tables. The scene printed here is domestic rather than grand: a farmhouse kitchen, a dovecote, dogs at heel by the gate. Where other toiles depict the estate, cocoa brown depicts the home.

It is the most relaxed of our seven colourways, and deliberately so. Printed on soft cotton with a hand-embroidered scallop edge, it settles naturally into autumn tables, late breakfasts, and rooms where the wood is older than the owners.
